Propose a Parklet

For this challenge, we asked people to be creative and suggest an idea for a mini-park or parklet for our next “One Less Car, One More Park” event.

Matt Sokoloff won our challenge with his idea to use a parklet to provide free bike rentals for a day. “Stop by, grab a bike and return it by the end of the day for free. Would be great if it was by a SunRail stop!” Our interactive forum participants gave Mark’s idea the most votes, followed by Rizza Gloriani’s suggestion of a gratitude tree.

Mark will be able to pick the color of the Lake Eola fountain for one night, and his idea will be considered for next year’s event. More Details »

Propose a Parklet

This challenge allows you to propose your own parklet for the next "One Less Car, One More Park" event. You can also "like" and comment on the ideas of others. The proposal with the most "likes" will be considered for next year's event. Sticking to the theme of parks, the person with the winning idea will also get to pick the color of the Lake Eola fountain for one night (as long as it does not conflict with other scheduled nights).
